Do you loath breakfast as much me?

It is meant to be a nutritious start to the day, full of vitamins and minerals to keep the body going.  Some people can eat the same breakfast cereal month after month, year after year – not me. Okay have I bored you yet? Heard it all before. Me too!  Then I thought of a breakfast bar, yes a bar full of bottles but with exciting treats that can be consumed any time of day. Mind you I still love my coffee even if it only one cup first thing in the morning.

There are macadamia, cashews, walnuts, almonds, shredded coconut, sultanas, dates, cranberries, chai seeds, mixed bag, flax meal and dried apple.  Create a selection to your tasting.

From the selection you can add to bircher muesli, old fashion oats, yoghurt, salads and even make protein balls or take little container for afternoon tea.  There are so many ideas once you get into the groove.

Here is an easy recipe for Cranberry Almond Protein Balls. (Makes 12)

Ingredients Protein EB

Ingredients:

1/4 cup dried cranberries

1/4 cup sultanas

3 teasp. coconut oil

1/2 cup uncooked oats

2 tbsp. slivered almonds

2 tbsp. flax meal (or seeds if you prefer)

3 tbsp. pure honey.

Method:

Into a food processor add all ingredients and pulse till a paste is formed. Add a little more honey if it needs to come together more.  Roll a teaspoon full into balls and pop into the fridge for approximately 1 hour before eating. Best consumed cold for breakfast with a cuppa or for an afternoon tea pick me up. (recommended 2 balls per day)

Each little ball is full of anti-oxidants, protein, fibre, omega-3, B vitamins and so much more…..
